Ship Auger Bits
Ship auger bits are the tool for boring all the way through a piling or a stack of heavy timbers in one pass. The screw point pulls the bit through, the deep single flute clears chips out of a long bore instead of packing them, and the result is a clean straight hole that your bolt actually slides through.
