A wave attenuator is a floating breakwater. It sits ahead of your dock or marina basin and absorbs and reflects wave energy, so what reaches your slips is chop instead of a swell. On exposed sites, an attenuator is often the difference between a usable marina and one that beats up boats every time the wind swings.

Dock Builders Supply supplies double-flanged attenuator systems from Eagle and Permafloat, built from an EPS-filled top float bolted to a hollow bottom shell in sizes such as 36" x 48" x 16" and 36" x 48" x 20".
