Plate Washers & Nuts
A tieback rod concentrates enormous tension into a single point on the wale. Without a plate washer to spread that load, the rod pulls through the timber or deforms the panel, and the tieback stops doing its job.
Dock Builders Supply stocks heavy hot-dipped galvanized plate washers and matching nuts sized to standard seawall anchor rod diameters. These are substantially thicker than framing washers, because the loads are not comparable.
Order them alongside your anchor rods and filter fabric. For general framing, use standard washers instead. Browse all seawall products or send us your wall details for a free hardware takeoff.
