Carriage Bolts

The carriage bolt's domed head and square shoulder are the reason it belongs on a dock. The head sits smooth against the walking surface with nothing to catch a bare foot or a dock line, and the square shoulder pulls into the wood so the bolt will not spin while you tighten the nut from one side.

Dock Builders Supply stocks carriage bolts in hot-dipped galvanized and 316 stainless across the full range of dock framing diameters and lengths.

Use them with matching nuts and plate or flat washers on the back side to spread load in soft timber. Compare against hex bolts, or browse all fasteners. Free material estimates on request.
