Power Pedestals

Dock Builders Supply stocks dockside power pedestals for private docks, marinas, and commercial waterfront facilities. Our selection covers 30 amp and 50 amp service, single and dual slip configurations, and models with integrated lighting, water hookups, and meter sockets. A marine power pedestal has to survive constant salt exposure, UV, and weather that would destroy standard electrical equipment within a season. Every unit we carry is built for that: marine grade housings, corrosion resistant hardware, and UL listed components rated for wet locations.

Choosing a power pedestal for your dock

Start with amperage. A 30 amp power pedestal handles most recreational boats under 35 feet. Larger vessels, or any boat running air conditioning at the slip, need 50 amp service. Dual units let you serve two slips from one pedestal and cut your installation cost per slip. Then decide what else belongs at the slip. Many owners add a water spigot, a courtesy light for night arrivals, and a cable TV or data connection. Specifying those up front costs less than retrofitting later.

Replacement parts, receptacles, breakers, and meter sockets are available for every line we sell, so a failed component does not mean replacing the whole pedestal.
