Clever Cleats Clever Cleat provides a new, fast, convenient, and reliable way to secure marine lines without the difficulties and frustrations of complicated knots. The Clever Cleat secures ropes very effectively using a combination of spring pressured teeth and rope positioning. By simply depressing the plunger using your hand or foot, the bottom teeth lower, which allows you to easily loop the rope around the cleat base a couple of times under the gripping area. Release the plunger to allow the teeth to bite and your rope is now secure.
Clever cleats feature recessed round bolt holes with covers. Mounts using 3/8" diameter bolts (sold separately).
