The "S" shape makes it easier to loop the lines around the horns. The corrosion-resistant aluminum composition will allow them to last for years, even in harsh marine environments.
"S" style aluminum dock cleats can be mounted horizontally or vertically and feature recessed mounting holes so that the bolts stay clear of the attached lines. Mounts using 1/2" diameter bolts (sold seperately).
