IMPORTANT NOTES: - For installation, you should pre-drill holes in your piling and then use a *hand screwdriver* to install. Using a hammer will result in the outer shell cracking.
- There should be a bit of space between the outer shell and the piling, that is normal.
- While we do offer the outer shell as an accessory (in the case of improper installation), this will have to be ordered separately.
- Historically, these lights have lasted for 5+ years, and even survived submersion with hurricanes.
- We suggest ordering slightly larger. ie if your piling is a millimeter over 7'', we suggest ordering the 8'' solar piling cap.

MEASURING: Choosing the right size Solar DokLite is easy! Just measure the diameter of your dock pilings first. Remember, no piling is perfectly round, so a close estimate works just fine.
If you’re unsure, it’s best to size up. DokLites are designed to fit securely even if they extend slightly over the edges of the piling. Each one includes a solid base that creates a snug, watertight seal once installed — no overly tight fit needed!
